I just sampled my first batch of Cara Cara oranges and was delighted. I don’t know if they are available at Whole Foods or in regular grocery stores yet, but FreshDirect has them for 99 cents.

Cara Caras are as pink as a grapefruit and as sweet as sugar. They are also large, unlike similarly priced tangelos that you can eat in one bite.
