Lunch at Momofuku Noodle Bar
There’s nothing like a late lunch on a warm sunny day at Momofuku Noodle Bar, one of my favorite places in town.
As much as I want to try the rest of the menu, I find it impossible not to order steamed pork buns and and roasted rice cakes. Calvin had the perfect pork dumplings and something called a ssam, which turned out to be a wrap. He liked it, but it didn’t rock his world. He said the pork in it was nowhere near as good as the pork in my buns:
The rice cakes were just as spicy, crispy, and succulent as always:
Maybe I’ll branch out and have pig’s trotters next time, but right when I smell those sweet buns there is no turning back.
