That’s some real gay copy, but at least it’s refreshingly honest about the truck maker’s plans for planetary destruction. (This is the gimpy GIF version of the ad that’s running at NYT; I’ve no idea what dances around the screen for suckers with Flash turned on.)

I’m wondering, though, aren’t potential SUV buyers (also known as people stupid, rich enough to still support Bush II) as bored with these “oh look, I’m about to be run over by sixty-thousand sheet-metal dollars!” shots as the rest of us? Why don’t they just cut to the chase and license the Mack name?

Hey, it worked for Hummer. For like two years.
